Now retired to New Brunswick, we thank Michael for everything and wish him well for the future. Born in New Brunswick, Michael Gormley began his musical studies in Saint John and at Dalhousie University in Halifax. He is an honours graduate of the Vienna Academy of Music where he studied organ, church music, choral and orchestral conducting. From 1978 to 1984 he was conductor of the Vienna Choir Boys for their many recordings, concerts, and tours. Since his return to Canada in 1984, he has been the Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria, has worked with numerous choirs, orchestras and schools in the city, and is the founder and director of CapriCCio Vocal Ensemble.
